Louisiana Citizens Insurance is a state-run and supported program within Louisiana that provides property insurance to those that cannot find insurance through the voluntary property market. As with most state-supported insurance programs, it should be considered a last resort effort of coverage and in most cases, certainly, more expensive than coverage in the volunary market.
