Ketoconazole is a human medication used to control kreatinene levels in humans with kidney problems. While it could be used on a dog a vet would be the best person to prescribe a doseage.

Ketoconazole, otherwise known as Nizoral is an antifungal medication. It can be used for fungal infections, ringworm infections, and Cushing's disease in dogs. It should only be prescribed by your vet. Side effects can be vomiting, change in skin color or in rare cases a severe allergic reaction could result. Nizoral should be used cautiously with other medications and supplements.
