To propagate ivy, or grow more plants, remove a healthy stem from the main plant. Next, plant the new stem end in soil and you should have successful ive propagation.

Ivy is one of the easiest plants to grow from cuttings. Cut off a runner put in a glass of water until roots grow and plant.

With most ivy varieties, you can take cuttings from anywhere on the plant, and many can be made while just trimming the plant for looks. As long as the vine peices are healthy, they can be used. Place the base of the vine into water until the roots are 1-2 inches long, and then plant where desired.

If u do not remove the leaves they will rot and cause the entire cutting to rot. Just use sharp scissors and cut the leaves ,right next to the stem.
