Since kittens are susceptible to many diseases because they are young, the best thing for you to do is take it to a veterinary clinic and have them take care of it. Leaving it alone or trying home remedies may not make it better and the kitten runs a chance of losing its eyesight.

If the eye is crusted shut or goopy, use a warm washcloth wet with clean water and gently soak the eye open. Then take the kitten to a vet.

Clean the infection with tepid - not cold, not warm - water. A used tea-bag, again tepid, on the eye may help, and a warm rag placed on the eye. do not let anything from one eye touch the other. I also urge you to see a vet.
