Contact an attorney or your local state department of labor. In many cases, you will be able to recover your paycheck plus a penalty with the help of your local state department of labor or an attorney.

You have many options. The first is to refuse to show up until payment is received. If you choose to continue working, you should at least talk to the payroll department and find out why you were not paid. If you have good records, and no payment, you can sue the company.

Most states have a Division of Labor Standards Enforcement DLSE), whose purpose is to settle wage claims and handle other employment-related issues, such as discrimination and violation of Labor Code statutes. If you haven't been paid, the DLSE will chase down your pay for you. You can also file a suit with the Department of Labor for back wages.

Discuss with your HR or payroll department. They should be able to track your time and determine why you did not receive your pay. They will also be able to help you resolve the issue for the future.

First you can get an lawyer, which will cost you and take the employer to court. You will have to prove that you have worked and how long the employer owes you for work. See if others that worked for the same employer has the same problem and do it as a group.

Contact an attorney, usually they will directly contact the payroll department and have a check headed to you with little or no problem.
