Contact your local animal control authority. Assuming you know the whereabouts of the dog, you can rightfully expect the authorities to quarantine the dog for ten days to make sure it does not have rabies. You can also bring a suit against the owners if they were negligent when you were bitten and a judge may decide the dog's fate.

Well, as long as you took a picture and saved all doctor bills, you can contact a lawyer about whether or not to pursue the dog owner in court for liability for your injuries. If the owner was negligent, then you may have a case.

The answer to this will vary depending on where you live. It is important to report the incident to local authorities to verify that the dog has been rabies vacinated or to quarantine the dog. Depending on the severity of the incident some dogs will be put down for biting.
