Question by  hairhelper (37)

What can I use as a jam container?

I want to make jam as gifts.

The best containers are mason jars, available at any hardware or grocery store. These can be properly sealed for long-term storage. If refrigerated and used immediately, any jar will do.

The classic answer would be to use glass "mason" or canning jars. These come in various sizes, but the best size for jam would be half pints, which come in different styles. The great thing is that you can use the jars to properly seal and preserve your jam. You can decorate the lid with a circle of fabric.
