Review the lease for conditions that might allow the landlord to break it. If none, move and then file in Small Claims Court to recover all expenses.

First order of business would be to contact a lawyer familiar with landlord tenant law. Provided none of the conditions of the lease have been broken, the landlord may not move prior to the term of the lease expiring. Landlord could potentially lose his or her license.

You should contact a real estate lawyer who specializes in landlord/tenant law. Some law offices will do an initial consultation for free. If you can afford a lawyer seek out assistance from non-profit organizations who assist tenants with lease issues.
