See an exotics vet (not a regular dog/cat vet) for an exam. The vet will give you the best options, be they surgical or having your pet put to sleep.

Many tumors in hamsters are operable. Find a qualified exotics vet who specializes in rodents who can diagnose your treatment options, whether it is surgery or euthanasia.

You may want a vet to check to see if this is really a tumor or if it is an infection or sebaceous cyst instead as those both can cause lumps. A vet may be able to surgically remove a tumor or treat the other issues.

Depending on the age of your hamster, the location of the tumour and how comfortable the veterinarian is some tumours can be surgically removed. This can be expensive and may be difficult on the hamster. Otherwise the best thing to do is to make him as comfortable as you can.

If you are interested in getting it removed take him to a specialist. If this isn't an option, make him comfortable until euthanasia is required.

Sadly, there is not too much you can do at this point. You can take him or her to the vet and see about an operation, but it will be expensive and not likely to work. Make the poor thing as comfortable as possible and be very nice to it.

The tumor may be cancerous, or it may be benign. Take your pet to the veterinarian as soon as possible to find out if it can be removed. Usually they can remove the tumors, but there may be issues with giving your pet antibiotics, as they can be hardmful to small pets.
