What can I do for my poodle who has rib problems?

Have it checked by the vet for damage, maybe it fell or has been kicked. It may be an underlying illness as well. but the Vet really should check the pet. Dont try to give it any medication for pain yourself, as it may make the dog very sick. See if the dog has trouble walking as well.

If you suspect your poodle has rib problems I would take it to the veterinarian to get it checked. It may have a rib fracture or a birth defect. It also depends if your dog is it in pain or not. Does your dog walk normal? Does your dog have difficulty lying on its side? Any breathing problems?

Rib problems are abnormal in a dog an any indication otherwise should be checked out by a veterinarian to ensure that the ribs are healing properly if broken.

Try to keep things so the dog does'nt have to go up or down stairs or jump up on to things also try not to pick the dog up sit on the floor with it and let it climb into your lap that way it won't hurt it.

What you could do with your poodle that has rib problems is just to go to the vet. Call the vet and tell them whats wrong, there's really nothing you personally can do let the vet do it all.

If you have not brought this dog to a vet than you need to do this now. A rib problem may mean that the dog needs medication and special care or also some type of brace to hold its spine and everything straight. The only way to know for sure is to get a profesional opinion.

Talk to your vet about the best way to manage any pain your dog might have. Feed a high quality food and give joint supplements.
