What can I do about stove top burner problems?

If it is electric, there may be a loose connection between the burner and the electricity. If you lift up the front of the stove, you can get a closer look and see if the connection is being completed. For a gas stove, try using a wire brush to clean all around and inside the burner area.

Is it an electric stove with removable burners? Have you tried lifting up the top of the stove to check the connection and wires? You could also just buy new burners and see if the new burners work any better, but a loose connection may be the problem with the burners.

Make sure there is enough gas going to the burner. It might be clogged in which case it needs a through cleaning. Take a toothpick and clean the burner holes.

You should clean your stove. Take the burners out then place them back in and see if that does not work for you.
