Systematically try different brands of cat food and you may find a food that causes less gas. You may want to look at the ingredients and try for different ratios of protein--it's possible that since cats are carnivores, that grain-type ingredients aren't being digested very well. They sure do smell!!

Increase the fiber in your cats diet.Switch to a food higher in fiber and stay away from soy.For almost immediate relief, restore balance in the digestive tract by feeding your cat some yogurt,a teaspoon of yogurt once a day. Make sure the yogurt has active cultures.

First, try to find the cause. Does your cat eat a quality cat food? Avoid feeding it table food or "people" food. Also, check the cat for parasitic worms. Administer a routine de-wormer product. If that does not remedy the problem, check with a vet to see if the cat some type of disorder.

Try changing the food you feed the cat - better quality food may reduce the frequency or smelliness. Try different brands and types (eg wet/dry).
