What can I do about my car door latch that is stuck?

It depends on the make and model of car, and what exactly is causing the problem. A lubricant compound such as WD40 might help in cases where mechanical friction is at fault.

You can partially remove the door panel and bypass the latch. you should be able to unlock it with the rod, and pull on the release rod with a pair of vice grips while trying to shove the door open. Otherwise, I'd recomend calling a locksmith.

Is your door stuck shut, or is just the handle on the door stuck? You can try spraying some WD-40 into the hinges and springs on the handle to see if it works loose. You can also try the same or using some lithium grease on the door to see if it will get loose.

A stuck door can typically be fixed by spraying a little WD-40 on the latch mechanism when the door is in the open position.
