If the entire tooth has been knocked out (root and all) it can be reimplanted with success - but likely hood of success decreases rapidly after an hour or two. Keep the tooth moist in milk or cling wrap - NOT water - and see your dentist immediately. Otherwise Bridge, implant or denture.

There isn't anything you can do with the old tooth. You can have a false tooth put in to keep your other teeth in place.

Pick up the tooth by the crown and not the root. If the tooth is dirty, gently wash it in milk. Immediately, store the tooth in milk (not water) and pack it in ice. A tooth must be replanted within 60 minutes, so call your dentist promptly.

You can gently rinse the tooth then put it back in the socket. If you don't feel comfortable with that, keep the tooth in your mouth or place it in milk and get to the dentist right away. The ideal time to get the tooth back in is 30 minutes.

You need to take the tooth and go see your dentist. You may have broke the tooth off at the root and you will need to get it fixed.

If you happen to be unfortunate enough to have your tooth knocked out, pick it up by the crown and rinse it in water. Try to replace the tooth in the socket and get to a dentist immediately. If you can't put it in the socket, place in your mouth near your cheek or in water and a little salt.
