Hamsters can eat hamster food, but also you can feed them carrots, toasted bread, vegetables, fruits as long as they are not sour. You can also feed them green vegetables such as kale and spinach especially lettuce as it is very leafy and they love that. Pet stores also have treats available for them.

Hamsters do tend to eat too much of whatever they have around them and also will happy and oblivous eat junk food. It's better to feel your pet food for hamsters, and the right amount so your hamster does not get fat.
