It could be an early sign of cancer. However, in between ovulation and your period, you can have sharp pains in your breast or breasts.

Sharp pain can be associated with hormone fluctuations or fibroid cysts. It can also be from gas pains. If the pain persists, or becomes worrisome, contact your physician for a thorough check up. Better be safe!
