What can be done when your supervisor is micromanaging?

There is not really much of anything you can do about it. There are no laws to keep your boss from annoying you. You can let him/her know that you can handle things on your own, but he/she doesn't have to agree. Alternatively, you could always quit.

Go above the supervisor and report to the owner what is happening. When you go straight to the chief usually that can take care of the problem fast. You may get your supervisor's job.
