First, x-rays should be taken of the injured area to see whether the injury is a broken bone and may require a splint and/or surgery. If the injury involves a muscle, rest and perhaps pain medications would be all that is needed to get the pet back to normal again.

Common sense tells you this depends on the injury- do you need a vet? Is there blood? Is the pup in pain? If this an interior pain your guy may have arthritis or something by nature of inbreeding like hip dysplasia. If your loved companion is in distress, you need to see a vet. Never let your pet suffer.

Take him to the vet and have an x-ray to make sure he didn't break his leg or have a torn ACL in his knee and may need surgery.

Exactly what you'd do in a human - keep it clean and bandaged, and do your best not to let the dog use the injured hind quarter. Do not let the dog remove the bandage. If possible, use pet bandaging and only use pet-safe disinfectants (diluted rubbing alcohol and honey are both safe).

Beagles are an excellent choice of dog for a family dog. This dog is also good for huntiing. They do suffer from hind quarter injuries,, These injuries can be treated and in some cases cured. First you must build back the muscle mass in their hind quarters and allow their legs to regain some strength. Limited exercise is good.

This depends on the nature of the injury. Cuts and scraps need cleaning and isolation (don't let the dog lick it). Deep cuts and punctures should be stiched shut by a licenced professional. Crushing injuries will need xrays to see if bones are broken (possibly requiring surgery). See a vet unless its very minor.

Your dog must have some kind of inflammation in the spice or pulled/damaged some muscle are at hind quarters. It is advisable that you should consult a specialist and do not do any medication at home for your beagle. You must see a neurological specialist and restrain your dog from any activities such as running or jumping.
