If the pads on your dogs feet are cracked you may want to either take him/her to the vet to be checked or try to kep them in from the cold and wet or try put some lotion on them and possibly some boots or something to cause a barrier between them and the elements.

Treating a dog with cracked paw pads would be to see a vetinarian to determine what is causing this problem. In the meantime, keep the paws clean and apply some vasoline to the areas about every 4 hours.

This can be caused from something that he is walking on. In the winter salt on the ground eats and irritates the paws. If by a pool chlorine can cause dried paws. See a bet for a cream that you can apply and keep clean.
