My dog's right paw and lower part of his leg are terrible swollen and he's limping.

Many things could be the cause. Examine the paw for a thorn or a tiny piece of glass. Sometimes even a dog can get a foot sprain. If you can't find what's wrong a vet should evaluate the dog.

Swelling could be caused from him injuring it himself, such as tripping or landing too hard after jumping. It could also be caused from a bee sting.
