Dealing with controlling husbands takes work because of what happened to allow them to become controlling. As a wife you have to decide that you are not going to be controlled. After making that decision you have to begin to talk to your spouse about making changes in your marriage so that you can still get along.

Husbands can be controlled by love only. They must get all the love and care they want. You must cook good food for them.

They can be divorced. Seriously, don't let this get out of control. Exercise your own rights, and don't let him control your whole life.
