The black pepper specks could be flea feces or they could be mites. Get some flea and or mite shampoo and spray and use it on the dog and do not forget to spray the house. The spray will usually take care of the problem.

It looks like the fleas are laying eggs. These eggs are just what you describes. Now it the time to to a complete vacuming job, wash anything that the does lays on or come in contact with. Give him a good flea bath or take him to a groomer who can do this. He needs a good combing also.

These sound like mites. Many dogs get them but they are very easy to see on a light colored dog. Many flea shampoos will also kill mites. Read the bottle.

Without seeing the insects, it is impossible to say. They could be mites or lice or fleas. Or they could be flea dirt which is the waste products of the flea. See your veterinarian!

Those are fleas. You should bathe your dog in flea and tick shampoo, treat your dog with spot on flea and tick prevention and spray your home with the spray.

Fleas often look like tiny specs of dirt on a dog. Treat the dog with a flea bath or dip and apply a flea repellent medication after 24 hours. The fleas will reoccur if not treated.

If this black pepper looking things are in or near his ears it's mites. Your dog needs a good treatment such as Front Line for his fleas.
