What are the symptoms of food poisoning, for someone who has not eaten in several days.

Since eating out two nights ago I have been very sick and am concerned that I may have food poisoning.

There are several symptoms of food poisoning: severe stomach pain, nausea/vomiting and diarrhea. Symptoms usually occur within hours of exposure and can last up to two weeks.

Fever, body aches, stomach cramping, weakness as well as general malaise due th the fact their nutrition level would be lowered due to the decrease in nutrition and dehydration due to water intake.

Food poisoning comes on within an hour of ingestion. Vomiting and diarrhea are the body's efforts to get rid of the offending food, which resolves in about 24 hrs. If you've not eaten in days and have continued symptoms, you most likely have a virus.
