Depends on the severity. Could range from stomach cramps and nausea to vomiting and diarrhea and worse. Usually it's not deadly; it should run its course in a few days and you'll be back to normal if you drink lots of water. Go to a doctor if your symptoms last more than 3 days.

Food poisoning causes different constellations of symptoms depending on the causative organism. However, most cause one or more of the following: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Symptoms include severe vomiting, diarrhea, sometimes fever and severe stomach pain. These symptoms can last for several days and can be fatal to the very young or old. If symptoms presist see your doctor to avoid dehydration.
