You may not know you have one unless you see it in your stool or on your clothes but symptoms might include nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, excessive hunger, weight loss, and weakness. In extreme cases, cysts, bacterial infections, and seizures may occur. Suspect you have one? See your doctor!

Signs of infection from an intestinal tapeworm include nausea, abdominal distress, loss of appetite, diarrhea and weight loss. Inadequate nutrient absortion can result in feeling weak. If the larvae travels outside the intestines they can cause organ and tissue damage.

Tape warms are large organisms which grow in animal intestines and consume their food. The best sign of a tapework is a sudden loss of weight or persistent hunger despite a normal or even heavy diet. Tapeworms are rare but are exaggerated by exposure to uncooked meats and un-purified water.
