Feeling pressure in the bladder along with a frequent need to urinate often indicate a bladder infection. Burning after urination is the biggest indicator of a bladder infection. Some people may pass blood when they urinate. Often a person may just feel generally ill along with these symptoms or run a fever if the infection involves the kidneys.
A bladder infection can come on slowly. Usually you will have pain when you pee and sometimes there may be blood in the urine. Your bladder feels as if it can't be totally emptied. You may have a fever and back pain or pain in the lower belly. See your doctor for these symptoms.
Some symptoms include a burning sensation when urinating, urination urgency, foul smelling urine, and in severe cases, abdominal pain, and blood in urine.
