Grand larceny is theft of property, goods, or services of value between $300 and $20,000. The sentence is a $5,000 fine in addition to or instead of a five-year prison term.

If the "fellon" voluntarily participates in community workshops, or society sponsored events, then it is 8 months. If no charges are pressed, and you ar enot served papers to appear in court, you will be free to go. If you are given the full punishment, the statue provides for 1-2 years.

I believe the statues for grand larceny in florida is pretty much the same for many states. If convicted the time served is from 5-10 years in prison.
