From Mesa, Arizona to the Grand Canyon National Park is 203 miles. You have to go around to the North side of the Canyon to get to the main park.

From downtown Mesa to the south rim village is 250 miles. Get to US 89 northbound, go to Flagstaff. From there, go west on I40 to Williams and turn north to the Grand Canyon.

It is 240 miles to the south rim, should take about 4 hours. Take I-17 north to I-40 at Flagstaff, then 64 north.
