The way he looks at you, and the way he acts around you. Most importantly, ensure that he is serious and is not just toying with your feelings. His behavior and actions can determine if he is sincere.

If he spends as much time with you as possible - time is very valuable to a guy and they don't usually waste it on stuff they don't like doing

The biggest sign is focused attention. This is demonstrated through little gifts (birthday cards, buying dinner, movies). Your friend will also feel unconfortable if you start talking about other guys. It's best to have a talk with him and define the boundaries of your friendship. The longer it's undefined, the greater the chance of somebody getting hurt.

maybe physical touching,more than just a friendly punch XD like hand touching, those time when he touches so gently and sincere it gives you chills :)

He could look at you a certain way or say specific things that might make you think he likes you or he may just be hanging around you a lot.
