As your body prepares to ovulate, copious amounts of wet, stretchy mucus is produced by the cervix--you may see it when using the bathroom or in your underwear. Some women (but not all) experience a little abdominal cramping right around the time of ovulation. After ovulation, your basal body temperature increases by a noticable amount if you are tracking it.

Signs of ovulation are different for each woman. Typical signs are tenderness of the nipples or breasts, a cramp or pinching sensation in the lower abdomen, and increased cervical mucus that is the consistency of egg whites.

One of the signs of ovulation is a dull ache in a woman's pelvis, on the side the ovulation occurred. You can also use an ovulation prediction kit to indicate when ovulation occurs.
