Usually you can take your temperature every morning before you get out of bed and the morning that your temperature is one degree higher than the other days is a sign that you are ovulating. Another sign is a milky discharge before your period. You can also count days on your 28 day cycle.

You usually ovulate about 14 days before your period. So subtract 14 from your shortest and longest period interval and you will get the most probable days of ovulation.

Ovulation occurs two weeks before your next expected period. If you know your cycle length, count up forteen days from when you believe you will start next. It is best to have sex every day or at least every other day, in the few days leading up to and the day of and the day after ovulation.

Ovulation usually begins 14 days after the start of your menstrual cycle (when you start to bleed). You can buy a home ovulation test to determine exactly when it occurs.

In order to determine your ovulation date you would need to start charting your cycle, to do this you take your temperature when you first wake up in the morning and putting that temperature onto a chart. You will notice a pattern in which your temperature rises, the day it rises indicates that you ovulated.
