It depends on the county. Some require just a high school diploma but most require at least an associates or BA. You will also need to take a sub certification class so that you would learn how to teach in a classroom setting. You must also get fingerprinting done and not have a criminal record.

The state will requirements, but each school system can add to those requirements. You must be certified as a teacher or in the process of certification (in some states). Check in with the specific school systems for details on how to qualify.

Most schools require a four year college degree, plus a criminal background check. Many schools will actually require that you have current teacher certification.

Get directly into contact with whichever school with which you want to apply. The standard requirement is a Bachelor's Degree. You will need your transcripts and be prepared for testing.
