The vast majority of European people (exceptions are Basques, Finns, Hungarians and Turks) originate approximately from the area which is now Iran, Afghanistan and northern India.

At this time, science believes that all humans originated in Africa and spread to other areas of the world. Those that became Europeans migrated from north eastern Africa to the Caucus Mountain areas, around the Mediterranean Sea, and then north and west into Europe.
