The Jungian archetypes are concepts which psychologist Carl Gustav Jung proposed that all humankind carry within our subconscious. His theory says that the four basic archetypes that we all have inside us are the Shadow (the dark, wild side), the Anima and Animus (female and male), and the Self (the real, the whole, the harmony and the God).
