How does the trickster serve as the role of a character archetype?

the trickster is a common in stories; an example is the snake tricking eve. The trickster fools the hero and brings a problem to solve. Tricksters are not nessicarily evil.

The trickster can be found throughout literature going back to the early Greek fables by Aesop. It serves as the character that fools or tricks other characters often through a series of tests.
