All Family Courts believe that children have a right to a relationship with both parents. Unless you can show a history of threats/endangerment to the kids, your spouse will get visitation in a joint custody arrangement. You can push to be the custodial parent by showing how that is best for the kids, rather then them shuttling between two homes.

Residency of one spouse must be for at least 6 months in the state of Tennessee. Reasons for divorce: intolerable cruelty etc. Full custody is only granted in extreme cases such as abuse, drugs or incarceration. Make sure that you live in the state at least 6 months prior to filing for divorce.
