The highest scoring game in MLB history was played on 8/25/22 with the Chicago Cubs beating the Philadelphia Philles, 26-23. There were two games in which 36 runs were scored.

The most scored in a game by one team was by the National League Chicago Cubs-they scored 36 runs against Louisville (7) on 6-29-1987. The modern day record belongs to the American League's Texas Rangers, who scored 30 runs against Baltimore's 3 runs on 8-22-07.
