A standard Queen size mattress is 60" wide by 80" long. They can be of varying thicknesses. A frame and headboard may increase the size substantially, so make sure to include those in your calculations.

A queen size mattress is 60 inches (5 feet) wide, and 80 inches (6 feet, 8 inches) long. These are the dimensions of just the mattress. Keep in mind that you need to account for any headboard and foot board. You may need to add a foot or more to the width and the length depending on your bed frame.
