Most common are your router, switch or hub, and ethernet cables. You will also have to make sure each pc has a proper NIC card, and you can include a outside firewall if you wish. If you want a internet network, you will also have to have a modem. They are relatively easy to set up.

To start a network, you'll need 2 or more computers, a gateway or a router, and an ethernet cable (for wired network).
