The mainstream view is that people will be judged based on their lives on earth and their faith. They will then be sent to paradise, Heaven, or purgatory, Hell.

After death, our souls will continue into eternity. What we do here on earth is will determine whether we go to Heaven or Hell.

There are several versions, depending on the denomination. Nearly all believe that there will be a judgment that sends the righteous to heaven and sinners to hell. However, some believe that happens right at death, and others believe the dead know nothing until a final judgment sometime in the future.
