What is the Christian view of soul mates?

The idea of soul mates id not one that appears in the bible. What is focused on is the strong bond that should form between a husband an wife after marriage. For example Gen 2:23,24 states in part that"...a man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh."

According to the bible, there is no such thing as a soul mate. Apostle Paul suggests only getting married if you can't control one's sexuality. See 1 Corinthians 7.
