No chance. These cars do not meet the safety and emission standards for any state in the country. You could modify one to meet the emissions standards but unless you are willing to put in a racing style roll cage into the car it will never meet the accident standards.

You could purchase a vehicle and have it imported and modified so you could drive it here. The process is pretty complex and is very expensive.

the truth is its a slim to none chance. the only thing i can say about that is find out if you can buy one in India and ship it over here , but to be honest the cars are not that great and by the time its said and done you could have gotten a mercedes for that price.

You could possible buy one, have it shipped, and convert it but it will drastically increase the cost. Then you always run the risk on not being able to register it in your state. You may just want to check out the US model. The sx4 model available here should be similar.

Well it is can be done however the cost may be too prohibitive. To import a car and make it road legal it will take quite a long time and quite a bit of money. The car will have to be bough overseas and shipped over here. Then it must be modified to meet American emission and registration requirements.
