Be sure the glove is not soiled. If it is, wash the surface lightly with saddle soap and dry thoroughly. On a clean dry glove, rub in mink oil (available in shoe repair shops) and allow it to be absorbed into the leather. Repeat until your glove works perfectly.

One way is to rub leather oil on it. Make sure you rub it on the inside and outside. Then place a tennis ball or baseball in it and place it between your mattress and box springs. In a few weeks it will be ready to go!

There is a saddle oil that is great for softening any leather, whether its boots, saddles, or clothing. I used to use it on my leather boots to skip over the "breaking in" process. Try it will a leather glove, it would probably work great. Try Lexol Conditioner for leather.

We used this trick for all my kids' gloves in the past: put the glove on the road or driveway behind one of the tires. Drive the car back and forth over the glove to start the breaking in process. Then just using the glove a lot!
