There is no such thing as a water based oil paint. If the paint is water based it is an acrylic.

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a water based oil paint. Oil paints by definition are oil based, not water based. You could try water based acrylic paints instead.

First normal oil paints can be dangerous to children (because of the chemicals), however they can be used. The best ones however are water-mixable ones from Windsor & Newton.

There are no water based oil paints for children, but if you are interested in having a child experience painting on canvas like you would with oils,try acrylic paints. They are water based and can be mixed like oil paint so your child can feel like a real artist.

True oils are not water based and are not safe for children. They can be toxic Children should use water based paints like tempera or acrylic but NEVER oil paints.
