What are the best St. Marten resorts?

There are many resorts in St. Maarten, but I would suggest trying either the Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa, which has a casino, the Hotel L'Esplanade, which is the #1 ranked hotel on TripAdvisor, La Samana, which received an exceptional rating from Frommers, and Le Petit Hotel, which also got great reviews on TripAdvisor.

I had a great time at the Flamingo beach resort. It is a little touristy, but a lot of the places there are. You get your own condo though, which I was really happy with because of the privacy.

One popular travel website lists Grand Case Beach Club as the best according to the site's visitors who have been there and rate the resorts. There are many other resorts that have good ratings too, but asking people who have traveled is a great way to be sure.

Philipsburg is a good centre for a lot of activities. All the casinos and most of the nightlife are on the Dutch side. Cupecoy has a lot going for it, and a good casino. On the quieter French side, Marigot is a good place to stay for food and evening entertainment. Grand Case is full of gourmet restaurants!
