What are the best shoe companies?

About a year ago I was looking for the same thing and ended up purchasing a pair of Under Armour sneakers. They were designated 'trainers' instead of running shoes but they are SO comfortable to run and do sports in. I even wore them to work a number of times and they have held up very well. I love them

Personally, I've always had good luck with New Balance. They sell shoes for wide feet if that's an issue for you, and they usually have good arch support.
