It's my opinion to state that an exam will remain an exam.
Food will remain food.
If an individual has a healthy meal, and one had studied for that particular
exam; one will prosper from it.
Period!

listen, food is a very important thing especially before an exam, I'm not saying you will become a genius because you ate before, but you will do better on the exam. they have even done studies on this so stick to what you know. and its not nutrition add a comment
I recommend eating anything with Omega 3. Fish is a great brain food and eating it before an exam usually allows you to concentrate more. Stay away from sugar, once you have it you have a short rush and then quickly after you crash.
For dinner the night before, eat carbs with a little protein to help you sleep. for breakfast protein and a few carbs. and snack on nuts and fiber. nix all alcohol, caffenine (even if you're cramming), sugar, and super carbs. also, exercise helps the morning of. :)
avoid simple carbs, or just carbs altogether. they will provide you with a short term boost and leave you drowsy afterwards. eat proteins and fibres, as they keep you full for a long time and they keep you stable and energized all the same. and drink lots!
Some brain foods that can help you focus during an exam
like some carbs and protein. I recommend toast, eggs and fish before an exam. Also some green tea instead of coffee. If possible, some nuts and fruits, too. (:
The best foods to eat before an exam are wholesome foods that give you brain power and energy. Whole wheat bread with peanut butter is a great option for energy, and a cereal such as 'Frosted Mini-Wheats' will provide you with brain power, and the ability to stay alert. And remember, too much sugar is never good before testing.
I think the best food to eat before an exam are nuts of any form. Almonds give you a lot of energy as well as peanuts. Before my children have an exam at school I always give them peanut butter toast for breakfast and they seem to pass the exam. Stay away from sugar.
Eat something healthy without unnecessary additives - and definitely not much sugar! Sugar will give you a short spike in energy, but then it will plunge and you'll probably be worse off than when you started.
I would suggest eating a light meal so that you are not going to feel tired. Try a big glass of orange juice the vitamin c can be a pick-me-up and have a nice fruit salad with it.
