A waiter is ikely going to be able to make a lot of money in tips. This is especially true if you work in a high end restaurant. These tips will make up for the fact that you are being payed a meager base wage.

If you don't want a lot of hours, most wait jobs are part time. If you are a good waiter, sometimes tips can exceed a hundred dollars in one night. A wait job is not a sedentary job, and requires very good people skills, as well as the ability to handle adversity.
