The backstop behind home plate should be between 20 and 25 feet to the fence. These specifications are specifically for fastpitch girls softball. Outfield distance needs to be between 200 and 225 feet. The pitching mound is 40 feet from the mound for girls under 15, and 43 feet for girls over 15. Bases are 60 ft apart.

There must be a home plate, 1st base, 2nd base and 3rd base. There must be a large grassy field and a pitcher's mound.
