The integration of markets, providing jobs, and cheaper products for consumers are advantages of that. More competition and widening the economic gap between countries are a couple of disadvantages.

Advantages: more trade, which reduces the cost of moving goods, making former luxuries affordable to the middle class. Disadvantages: moving manufacturing to cheaper areas, decreasing manufacturing employment in developed countries.
